This past Friday, Sarah Palin was selected as John McCain's running mate for vice presidency. Therefore, her name has arose in many internet searches, Wikipedia being the most controversial due to its low credibility. This led Wikipedia editors to raise the protection level and restrict who can make changes on her page. It was discovered that a user named "Young Trigg" had been making a large amount of changes on her page. Although the user is unidentified, it is speculated that it may be her youngest son whose name is Trig.

This article brings up the topic and problem in the internet world. An enormous number of websites are created or edited by people just like us who post their opinions, not facts. It is a good reminder to never believe what you read unless it is credible and unbiased. But what about teenagers or even adults who are unaware of this? It could mislead them, and in this case, even alter a person's presidential vote! Something needs to be done to validate or identify true or false information being spread on the Internet.
